YouTube Merger

A note from Cornerstone Christian Fellowship’s Tech Team on YouTube integration and video files:

Hello Cornerstone Family,

I’d like to take a moment and give you an update on the recent announcements made concerning the website video files.

On January 1, 2025, our video hosting service, is closing its doors to its current business practices and unfortunately, this will outdate our current method of video embedding to the website. With that being said, as agreed upon with the elders, we must now migrate our entire video archive to another platform: YouTube.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. In December 2020, Adobe discontinued the use of Flash Player on every platform on the internet, taking with it every .flv video file Cornerstone Christian Fellowship made before 2017. (We no longer have access to those videos, in any way.)

That is NOT the case this time. Thankfully, we have access to the video .mp4 files and the only change we need to make is where we upload, or host, the videos before we embed it into the website. Unfortunately, the archive we received from our current host is only a series of unique IDs that correlate the file to the embedding code on the website. In other words, as we update the past series: the video must be located, renamed, and archived before it is uploaded to YouTube, where we then embed the new host code to the website.

There are over 300 videos to identify and then upload to YouTube. The priority is always going to be the current series and then we will work our way backward, from 2024 to 2017. For example, the current series is up to date on the website, and the next series to be up to date will be From Time to Time. For each series we will start with Part 1 and work from there, we will not work backward by date.

We understand how important these resources are to you, and we will be diligent to keep every resources available as timely as possible.

In the meantime, you will still have access to Sermon PDFs, Study Questions, and Audio files.

Thank you for your understanding as we approach January 1st and please continue to pray over all of the technology that makes this Word available to those who seek it.
